Greed vs Cultural Richness
12/6 Bears Ears and Grand Staircase Escalante National Monuments where set aside by Presidents Obama and Clinton respectively to preserve important Native American cultural sites and the wilderness. President Trump’s decision to drastically cut back the amount of land that was preserved is a nod to Republicans and Corporations who seemingly want to have every inch of the West mined, drilled, or paved over for the benefit of the Kochs and their ilk. This is a slap to the face of every Native American and to Americans in general who care about our cultural and natural heritage. Those who laud Trump’s move say the land has been given back to the people. This is a preposterous lie. If you were going to give something back what was taken away you would have to give it back to the Indians. The pro reduction gang wants to mine and drill an otherwise pristine wilderness to simply fill the pockets of the already rich like the Koch brothers. It is a land grab by the plutocrats....
